Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are set to get married at a “top secret” location Saturday, according to a report.

The pair, who announced their engagement in April, have not sent out proper invites, “but instead guests have been given a save the date notice,” a source tells Us Weekly magazine.

The rehearsal dinner, which will take place Friday, is to be “an intimate affair” for “family and close friends only”.

On Saturday, “all guests will be transported in shuttles to the wedding location,” the source explained.

Simpson, 23, and Wentz, 28, started dating in late 2006.

The Fallout Boy rocker last month said that he was open to marriage.

“When you find someone you think is your soulmate, it’s inevitable,” he said.

Ashlee Simpson has vowed not to follow in the same, destructive footsteps as Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.

Simpson — who recently announced her engagement to Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz — says that unlike Spears and Lohan, she is in control of her career.

She says, “I don’t see myself ever following the path those girls take.

“I’m almost 24, I’m pretty together and I’m getting married.

“I wouldn’t ever let myself get that way and I don’t surround myself with ‘yes’ people. I think that’s the most important thing.”

She continues, “People don’t control me or anything I do and I’ve never had that problem.

“Pete’s my support system,” she says of her future husband, “we definitely give honest opinions of each other. I love his music and he’s so supportive of everything I do.

The 23-year-old also spoke about her collaboration with super-producer Timbaland, saying it was important the material for hew new album, Bittersweet World, didn’t sound anything like the music the hip-hop star has made with Madonna, Justin Timberlake, and Nelly Furtado.

She adds to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “It was so cool to work with Timbaland but it was important for the end result not to sound like one of his tracks.

“He really got me and who I am as a person, so the music still has this rock element going on, but with an ’80s sound.

“I’d never worked with anyone who’d done done beats. But I was like: ‘Ah, I really this like world.’

Papa Joe Continues to Screw Daughters

LOVE this! I told you as soon as we found out Ashlee Simpson was preggers that Papa Joe would be beating down doors trying to get the cashola. He's asking $1M, he's being offered $60K. HAHA When will Joe Simpson realize that his daughters are NOT A-List stars? Sure, they're in the weeklies all the time - that's because they make themselved available (think Eva Longoria). There was a time I kind of thought of Jess as A-List...alas, she was never higher than B. Pre-plastic surgery, Ashlee was a solid C. Now, due to the improved looks and London stage stint....I'll give her a B-.

THE Simpson sisters' dad-ager, Joe Simpson, is trying to cash in on the baby-crazed trend in celebrity magazines - but he's having a difficult time.

A magazine source said, "Joe is contacting all the weeklies and asking them to pony up $1 million to put Ashlee on the cover." The news broke this week that Jessica's younger sibling is pregnant with her now-fiancée Pete Wentz's child - a claim Wentz has backed off denying.

"The deal would include photos of Ashlee - taken by Joe, of course, so he can make more money - an interview and photos of the baby when she has it," our source said.

Sadly, there is some interest - but not for anything close to $1 million.

One magazine editor said the pictures would fetch "$60,000 maybe - but definitely not a million. The timing is a little suspicious. Her album ['Bittersweet World'] is dropping next week, and there was little to no interest until now. Ashlee's lucky she got pregnant, frankly."

But even with the marriage announcement, "Joe has an unrealistic expectation of what Ashlee can command," the editor said.

Ashlee's shotgun wedding to Wentz is expected to take place before summer. Her rep declined to comment.

A source told OK! magazine, "They're planning on something in the Santa Barbara area probably by the end of May . . . Jessica will be the maid of honor."

Ashlee is said to be eyeing a Vera Wang dress and will likely wear a ring designed by Wentz.

This wouldn't be the first time Joe has mucked things up for his daughters. During Jessica's visit to Africa with the Operation Smile charity two years ago, he insisted on being the only one to take pictures of her, despite having a professional photographer along on the trip - thus making himself the only one to collect the cash when he sold the photos to People magazine.

Joe also undercut Jessica when she did a deal for the launch issue of OK! At the time, it was reported Jessica got a mere $250,000 for the spread - despite Sean Combs getting more than $1 million several weeks later.

Oh, baby - not. Rocker Pete Wentz denied reports that fiancee Ashlee Simpson is preggers, according to a story on MTV.com. Both Us and OK! magazines had stories on the pregnancy, even reporting she was due in October. The Fall Out Boy bassist fired off an e-mail to MTV News saying: "There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood . . I mean we're engaged, that's true, and happy about it." In a separate e-mail, MTV News said it asked Wentz if he was denying reports of Simpson's pregnancy. He answered: "Yeah." (Source: Page Six)

Ashlee Simpson is engaged to Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz, Simpson’s rep has confirmed.

“Yes, they are happily engaged,” said the rep.

Ashlee, 23, said of the engagement “I’m really happy!”

Rumors are swirling that the pair are tying the knot because Ashlee is pregnant, her rep, however, had no comment and referred us to friendsorenemies.com, where Simpson posted the following Wednesday:

“We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged.”

Simpson and Wentz, 28, started dating in late 2006.

“They are ecstatic and can’t wait to be man and wife,” a source said. “They will be getting married before the end of the year.”

Wentz said earlier this month that he was open to marriage.

“When you find someone you think is your soulmate, it’s inevitable,” he said.
