Diet Coke & Cheetos = Redneck!

If having Diet Coke in the house is a sure sign of being a redneck, I'm guilty! I believe I also have some cheetos in the house. Hmmmm.....maybe there's a deep rooted redneck reason I have a special fondness for the Spears Girls?

JAMIE Lynn Spears, who just gave birth to daughter Maddie Briann Aldridge at the ripe old age of 17, is in danger of heading down the same road as her sister, Britney. A Louisiana source tells us, "She only has Diet Coke in the house. How redneck is that?" As for her engagement to Casey Aldridge, the spy adds, "I doubt that'll ever happen. Her mama [Lynne] doesn't like him and thinks she can do better. They don't want him anywhere near [Jamie Lynn's] cash." Britney, whom Jamie Lynn refers to as "my crazy sister," has a well-known affinity for soda and Cheetos and had her first marriage, to Jason Alexander, annulled at her mother's insistence. A rep for Jamie Lynn didn't return calls.

Baby Maddie looks very sweet. Jamie Lynn looks happy, doesn't she? Hey! Has Britney gone down to Louisana to see new new niece??!?

Britney Spears' little sister has shown off her baby for the very first time -- appearing in the latest edition of OK! magazine.

17-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth to daughter Maddie last month and is enjoying spending time with the tot in her home state of Louisiana, away from the bright lights of Hollywood.

She tells the publication, "Around here, everyone has the same focus.

"The focus is family, and that's a good way to live."

The 'Zoey 101' actress -- who shocked the world after last year revealing she was expecting her first child with her 19-year-old boyfriend -- said she had the "perfect pregnancy and the perfect delivery" and felt "very blessed".

She also said fiancé Casey Aldridge was in the delivery room offering his support when she gave birth.

Although the labor was induced, Jamie Lynn gave birth naturally and without complications.

She said, "Once I got in there, my doctor was just so calm and so good it was not bad at all.

"I was just talking to Casey. And you know what's so weird? I was asking him if he was okay. He was like, 'Yeah.' We were both so excited."

Jamie and Casey have set up a nursery for their new baby, but are happy for Maddie to sleep in their bedroom for the time being.

Jamie Lynn added, "She is very good.

"She'll feed every two or three hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I'll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. There's no screaming and crying.

"We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines.

"I've worked one out with her, and we're happy going about our little life."

Britney Headed To Louisiana

I'm sure this will be nice for Britney and Jamie Lynn.

Britney Spears is heading home for her pregnant sister Jamie Lynn’s baby shower.

The ‘Toxic’ star is reportedly leaving Los Angeles later today to arrive in Kentwood, La., in time for tomorrow’s bash at mom Lynne Spears’ house, Serenity. Britney was last seen in Kentwood in November 2006.

An insider tells Life & Style magazine: “The shower’s on Saturday at Lynne’s house.

“At first, Jamie [Britney’s dad] didn’t think it was a good idea for Brit to go. He thought it might create chaos in Kentwood, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to put Jamie Lynn — or Britney — in the middle of that.

“Britney can’t travel without Jamie’s permission, so she worked really hard to talk him into it; it was so important for her to be there for her little sister.

“He finally gave in, knowing it’d be good for Brit and Jamie Lynn to finally see each other.”

Baby-faced baby daddy Casey Aldridge wants to make an honest woman of Britney Spears' pregnant kid sister Jamie Lynn.

Jamie Lynn, 16, has been flashing a rock to friends and family back home in Louisiana, saying it's an engagement ring from her 18-year-old fiancé, People.com reported Tuesday.

"She's been showing it off, talking about it," a source told the entertainment Web site.

Asked if he'd like to see the teens tie the knot, Aldridge's grandfather, James Aldridge, told the Daily News, "Well, yes. But whatever happens happens."
