Kanye: NO Anger Management

Photobucket
Kanye West wants the world to know that he is NOT, repeat, NOT going to anger management classes as some would like you to believe. "Ranting" via his blog (his real media outlet), he says:

"Do yall remember when people said my fiance was pregnant???? What happened to that rumor????? I guess after we broke up it was just forgot about???? I'm just using that as an example of how people make up stuff and everybody runs with it. I had my own family asking me about that. Now the media is saying I'm going to anger management something or 'nother. I have never had any conversations about anger management. If anything, I need anger enhancement!! lol! I get off the plane in Hawaii today and the world is saying my management team said blah blah blah... SIIIIIIGGGHHHH! I told the media you can't make up lies about me because I have a media outlet myself. Oh and sidebar I don't know if everyone has realized this yet but I don't do interviews if there's anything I wanna say I'll say right here on my own blog."

Jay-Z Reacts to Winehouse's Kanye Attack

I'm sure you've heard (or saw) Amy Dirtyhouse's attack on a fan, shitty singing, gum spitting, Kanye-ranting performance at Glastonbury this weekend. If not, google it. Jay-Z says he doesn't know where the rant against Amy came from. Hmmm....I'm sure some of it stems from his comments at The Grammy's this year and also ALL THE CRACK SHE'S SMOKING.

Amy Winehouse stunned Jay-Z with her fiery temper at the Glastonbury Festival over the weekend (28Jun08) - after launching a scathing attack on his pal Kanye West.

The Brit has hit the headlines for attacking a reveler in the crowd at the English music festival during her spot on Saturday - but headliner Jay-Z was more put out by the singer's comments about West minutes later.

Jay-Z, who was watching her show from the side of Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage, admits he was a little upset when Winehouse turned on his "brother" during a rant in which she attempted to defend festival organizers for hiring Jay-Z as Glastonbury's first rap headliner.

She told the audience: "Imagine if it was a c**t like Kanye West! 'C**ts like Kanye' - should be his next album title!"

Jay-Z tells MTV.com, "She said something about Kanye late on (in her set) but I didn't hear it and I don't agree with it. He's my brother and the biggest artist on Roc-a-fella (records) right now.

"I guess I should hook them up because he's a great guy too. I don't know what the problem is - I don't know where that (comment) came from."

Kanye Takes On Bonnaroo

Photobucket
I have friends who were at Bonnaroo (a music festival in TN) and they complained about Kanye's set. Well, Mr. West, never one to hold back has taken to his blog to hit back. Sounds like it was the officials at the festival who screwed over the fans, NOT Kanye.

Here's an portion of what Kanye wrote, click here for more.
LET'S BREAK DOWN THE WALLS ON THIS TRUMAN SHOW AND LET YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY OCCURRED!!! FOR OVER A MONTH WE WENT BACK AND FORTH ON WETHER OR NOT WE COULD EVEN FIT MY STAGE AT THE FESTIVAL. From Kanye's Blog

Kanye West's Glow in The Dark tour was in Moline, IL this past weekend. I grew up about 30 minutes outside of Moline and was actually home over the weekend! I watched this same news report. The weather has been so crazy all over the midwest. We were right in the middle of this, so I thought I would share!

HOT New Couple: Kanye & Selita Ebanks?

Oooh! Love it!
Photobucket
SELITA Ebanks isn't crying over ex-fiancé Nick Cannon, who just married Mariah Carey. The Victoria's Secret hottie partied with Kanye West, who recently split with his fiancée, at Tenjune Saturday night. They were spotted trying to sneak out together late that night after dining upstairs. They looked "cozy" when they left, according to a spywitness outside. "They were trying to be inconspicuous, but they were smiling and walking real close, and they hopped in a waiting car together laughing and took off." (Source: Page Six)

Review: Glow in the Dark

Kanye West's Glow in the Dark Tour came to Chicago this weekend! We had tickets for Friday night's show and ya'll - it was hands down the best show I've ever been to.

We got to our seats at 7:30pm and Lupe Fiasco was almost done with his set. However, we saw his last 3 songs and I LOVED him. First of all, did you know how handsome he is? Well, he is!
Photobucket
And talk about energy! Everyone onstage with him gave their all (a consistent among every performer that night). I'm definitely going to spend some time downloading his music this week.

After about a 15-20 min break next up was N.E.R.D. You guys know how much I love Pharrell, right? I don't need to go into how hot I think he is? Their set was HIGH energy. When they performed "Spaz" they had about 20 people onstage dancing with them and then all of the sudden who do we spot onstage with everyone but Chris Brown. He danced his ass off. VERY cool.

After a similar set break, next up was Rihanna. I feel like I need to preface with this: you all know I LOVE Rihanna. She looked beautiful and her set was FAR from "bad." But in comparison to the first 2 acts, she was the weakest in my opinion. I talked to my husband about it quite a bit - trying to figure out "why." I came up with this - Rihanna is an artist who does well with a big number - big stage, lots of dancers, etc. She had a lot smaller stage to work with and not as much room to really do her thing. However, I think it was still absolutely the right call for her to do this tour and I'm sure she'll grow ALOT as a performer as a result. Do I need to say again how beautiful she looked? How amazing her body is? How cool her costume change was? God, I feel like Paula Abdul.

I should mention how electric the mood was at the United Center. When we took our seats at 7:30 (a half hour after the show was supposed to start) and it was PACKED. How often does that happen? I've been to shows there where until the headling artist took the stage it was deserted. Not this show. The arena was packed and everyone - and I mean EVERYONE - was participating. I saw all walks of life - young, older, black, white, brown, yellow and everything in between, women, men, families...the crowd was such a big part of the show. The atmosphere was one of a big party - everyone was smiling, excited and having FUN. I danced for 4 and a half hours straight, only standing still (but never sitting) when Kanye performed "Hey Mama." So, onto Kanye...
Photobucket
He went on at 10pm and played straight for 90 minutes. Kanye performed every single song as if it were an encore. He gave his ALL.

From "College Drop-out" he did: All Falls Down and Jesus Walks.

From "Late Registration" he did: Touch the Sky, Gold Digger, Diamonds from Sierra Leone, and Hey Mama.

From "Graduation" he did: Good Morning, Stronger, Good Life, Can't Tell Me Nothin, Champion, Flashing Lights and Everything I Am.

PLEASE forgive me if I'm missing something or put something in that mix that he didn't do.

When I've gone to other shows, when it's over I can pinpoint favorite songs played. Not this show. EVERY song was my favorite. It was remnisicent of a rock opera a'la The Who's "Tommy." Kanye even had a live band play with him - something uncommon at a hip hop show. A highlight of the evening was when Kanye took his only "break" of the evening - sitting down while Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" played. EVERYONE in the crowd sang along as Kanye sat down onstage and had a drink. Not sure if that song was chosen as a homage to the White Sox (it was their theme song the year they won the World Series) or if it just fit in with the storyline behind the show.

Yes, there was a storyline. I'll let Hollywood Wire.com explain the storyline:
Kanye is sent on a mission to space to bring creativity back to Earth. He’s been gone for over a year. All of the crew on his ship are dead, leaving Jane, the on-board computer system, as Kanye’s only companion.

His ship crashes on an unknown planet. As Kanye begins to explore the unfamiliar surroundings, he is greeted by a female alien. Um, do alien’s have sexes? Anyway…

Kanye asks, “Do you know who I am?”

“Of course we know who you are. You are the biggest star in the Universe!,” replies the femalien.

Wow, biggest star in the Universe? Must be difficult for you to play this part, huh Kanye?

The Glow in the Dark tour follows a tough emotional journey of the singer. Kanye’s mother and main inspiration, Donda West, passed away late last year. A tragedy that would have paralyzed many, provided Kanye the inspiration he needed to produce, arguably, the best work of his career.

This is the first show I've ever been to that I was thinking about for days afterward. Whether you're a Kanye fan or not, if you have the opportunity to see this show - SEE IT. It probably won't change your life like it did Diddy, but it'll certainly go down as a highlight of my life.

Minor Celebs Roughed up at Kanye Show

I actually think this story is funny. Hey man, smoking's not cool.

My dearly beloved saw Kanye perform last night at an up-front party in NYC. He sent me a text message in the middle of the night (it was late!) saying "Kanye is ripping it up" and the pic below. I'll be sure he gives us an in-depth report on his celeb sightings when he gets back. He's had some good ones!
Photobucket
KANYE West's Tuesday night concert at Madison Square Garden turned into a nightmare for celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch, who was manhandled and thrown out by three security guards before it even started.

Rihanna, West's opening act, was performing around 9 p.m. when Bloch - whose clients include John Travolta and Salma Hayek - was approached by a tall security guard who ordered him to "take a walk with me." Bloch, who had earlier lit a cigarette but quickly stubbed it out unnoticed, had been talking to a group of pot-smoking teenagers in the row behind him who were passing a pipe among themselves.

"The whole stadium smelled like pot, and the kids behind us were smoking. I'm sitting there having fun, laughing," said Bloch. "Then I get an order to go with this man.

"They say, 'You're leaving, give us your ticket.' I held it up, they took it. At that point they grabbed me by my arms to take me out, so I threw my hands up and said, 'You've got to keep off me. I'm no threat.' "

Page Six witnessed three security guards then spin Bloch around and pin him against the corridor wall. One, who refused to give us his name and flipped his identity pass around so we couldn't see it, gave Bloch a sharp jab in the left rib.

"I had nothing in my pockets, not even a match. They never asked for ID, never asked for my name. It was complete brutality," said Bloch, who was tossed out a side door. "One pushed me out with his knee in my back. I still can't wrap my head around this."

Butter owner Richie Akiva and a gal pal were also stopped on their way backstage. "Security grabbed the girl and yanked her," said a witness. "The guards got hot-headed and he was sticking up for her. They took him to a room to interrogate him."

"MSG policy is if you are caught smoking an illegal substance it's cause for immediate ejection," said Garden rep Barry Watkins.

Kanye & Jonah Hill Play Connect Four

I'd be lying if I didn't admit to watching the whole thing, thinking, I wish I could play! I'm pretty good at games. ESPECIALLY celebrity trivia games like Celebrity Taboo! Does this surprise you?

Need to Update Celeb Boyfriends List

So...you know how sometimes you have a crush on someone, but you don't really realize you have a crush on them until someone points out that you talk about them all the time?

Kanye West.

There are people who will be disappointed in me to hear this. (Sorry, Mike S.)
Photobucket

I saw this pic on Laineygossip.com. She mentions his pants. Kanye knows fashion. Even if they are kind of ugly. She also mentions his "wee" ness. He's not a big guy...did you know that? I didn't. Well, not until my boobs were squished up against his back!!

Really, I will stop referring to that moment in my life....someday.

Kanye and Fiance Split?

This does NOT surprise me. Don't get me wrong, I think Kanye's fiance seems like a lovely woman. She's beautiful! But - since his mom's passing and now with his tour in full force...it just doesn't seem to me like this would be the right time in his life to get married.

I'm so loving on Kanye right now.
Photobucket

Rapper Kanye West has reportedly split from fiancee Alexis Phifer.

“Kanye is possessed by the tour and everything going on and just couldn’t keep it going,” a source told Us Weekly. “They are still friends and have broken up and gotten back together before, so it could work out.”

A rep for the ‘Stronger’ star had no comment.

The pair got engaged in 2006 while vacationing in Italy.

It was previously claimed Kanye, 30, would marry Phifer to honor his late mother Donda’s wishes that they make their relationship official.

“I’m just going to go and get married,” West told GQ magazine last year. “I’m not going to make a big deal out of it.”

The pair had been dating since 2002, but split briefly in 2004 when West briefly hooked up with Brooke Crittendon, an assistant at MTV.

Kanye's Glow in the Dark: On Another Level!

Just saw this review from The Seattle Times. I told ya'll we're sitting 8th row center when Kanye brings the show to Chicago. I can't wait!!

If only my boobs could squish on his back again. *sigh*

Kanye West lives up to his promise to be the greatest star in the hip-hop universe with his "Glow In The Dark Tour," which kicked off Wednesday night at the Key. He not only took the concert experience to a new level, he took it to a new planet.

It was a magnificent, thrilling, uplifting, sensory experience, unlike any other pop concert before it. West has rethought the whole idea of live performance, from the staging to the lighting to the overall message. He took the excited, involved, constantly moving young crowd on an out-of-this-world journey, to Planet Kanye and back.

West was the only inhabitant of this lonely planet, the only person on stage during his 90-minute set. A 10-member group of musicians and singers were in a pit well below him, all of them in black to make them even more obscure.

The huge, very tall set was like the uneven surface of another world. West first appeared lying on an elevated plaform, which eventually became like a spaceship, moving up, down and sideways, with smoke and flashing lights. An enormous video screen created the look and feel of space travel and otherworldly landscapes.

Using raps and songs from his entire career, he tells a story of a quest for love, knowledge and recognition. He returns to Planet Earth with the hard-won wisdom that life is a gift and every day a miracle.

He opened with "Good Morning," the lead cut from his latest CD, "Graduation." He blended most of his key raps — "Gold Digger," "Jesus Walks," "Hey Mama," "Stronger" and, of course, "Spaceship" and "I'll Fly Away" — into the narrative, changing some lyrics, including taking the N-word out of "Gold Digger" and adding Seattle name-checks to other raps..

His show was amazingly tight, given the elaborate, seamless, creative nature of it all. It was an absolutely amazing production.

The star-studded show was impressive in its entirety, with three more of the most talented, versatile, pop-oriented, positive acts in hip-hop.

Rihanna was like a hip-hop supermodel, looking sexy and beautiful as she performed with four dancers, two background singers and three musicians. Her huge, Grammy-winning hit "Umbrella" was the high point.

N.E.R.D., featuring gifted singer-songwriter-producer Pharrell Williams, backed by six musicians (including two drummers), started strong. But his voice gave out, due, he said, to inhaling stage smoke.

Lupe Fiasco, along with a DJ, co-rapper Mr. G, and three excellent pop/rock vocalists, kicked it off with a short, powerful, fun set. The sound was body-slamming loud, during his and the other sets. That only helped bring everyone to their feet, and kept them dancing all night. (Source: Patrick MacDonald, The Seattle Times)

Kanye: "Life is Good"

I'm happy that Kanye West is feeling good about life again after his mom's passing. I LOVE Kanye. I admit that part of the reason is because my boobs were literally squished against his back at the Grammy's after party EW threw at STK. But the biggest part of why I love him is because I love his music. Craig and I are seeing the Glow in the Dark tour when it hits Chicago! 8th row center, baby! I can't wait!
Photobucket

Kanye West took his blog earlier this week, and finally opened up about the tragic loss of his beloved mom Donda West.

In a posting titled ‘Life is good… in Japan picking out fabrics for pastelle’, Kanye, 30, writes, “I don’t do anything I don’t love anymore… I loved the flashing lights vid so it didn’t matter 2 me if someone one else didn’t.

“While people chase money I pursue happiness. So many people talk about there investments or how much money they have but there’s so many rich people who spend a lot of that trying 2 buy a piece of happiness.

“If there’s anything my mom taught me is to enjoy life. I just recorded my first verse in the last 6 months 2 days ago at Bape’s Studio in Japan.

“It felt good and I was inspired. I absolutely lost my mind (in a good way) on the new Glow in the Dark tour. The constant hours of creating helped me 2 keep from loosing my mind in a bad way.”

Adds Kanye: “Chris Milk told me tragedy can produce great art and this is definitely true. I am a total mad man now, up till 3 am every night, trying 2 fight pain, board-um, and uncertainty with creativity.

“All that said, life is good….. good as finding the perfect fabric for a simple one button casual blazer with matching pants.”

Nikki at The Grammy's

Craig and I were in LA for The 50th Anniversary of The Grammy Awards this past weekend as guests of People Magazine. We stayed at The Four Seasons, Beverly Hills. It was an amazing weekend!

First off, we weren't allowed to take pics at any of the events other than the party on Saturday. We don't have alot of pics, but wonderful memories for sure. We enjoyed 80 degree sunny weather, hanging out by the pool, free hour-long massages and mani/pedi's. But onto the good stuff: the celebs!

So, on Friday night we went to the MusicCares Benefit honoring Aretha Franklin. I stood right next to her when she got to the party! I also saw Josh Grobin (nerd), John Stamos (hot), Clive Davis (old but so cool), and Al Sharpton (lol). We saw lots of performances: John Legend, Fantasia, Natalie Cole, Lil' Mama, Corrine Bailey Rae...BIll Cosby did a little stand up, Al Sharpton gave the prayer - it was cool, but a little boring. We were thrilled to leave and head over to Avalon for the People/Verizon party. We got there and only maybe 50 people were there (hundreds later). Miley Cyrus was just arriving with her mom, Timbaland was performing and we stood right near the stage. We saw Flo Rida perform. His song "Low" is the #1 song in the country. We know this because he reminded us of it about 10 times.

Lindsay Lohan was there and she was really messed up. She was for sure on something - ecstacy or coke is my guess. She was like humping walls and other weird things. We were told she was "really pissed off" because she didn't like her outfit.

Paris Hilton was on the other side of the room and she and Lindsay were definitely "obviously not talking." They even had a little dance off from their spots in the balcony! I think Lindsay won, but it's only because Paris wasn't humping the wall. That went over pretty well for ol' Linds.

The club erupted in cheers and crazy dancing when "Gimme More" played.

I spotted Pink who looked SO pretty. So much more feminine in real life. So, I walked past her - put my hand on her shoulder and told her how much I loved her music and then I said, "You look HOT tonight." She smiled really big and said, "Aw, thank you!"

We also saw Heidi Montag (loser chick with the fake boobs from "The Hills" on MTV) at our hotel that day.

On Saturday we were hanging out by the pool and saw John Krazinski from "The Office." He was really cute. We sat next to Corrine Bailey Rae. She was very cute and very sweet. We saw Little Richard (wearing full makeup, sequin get-up and in a wheelchair) coming into the hotel and John Mayer (no kidding, HOT) was also at the pool. Later, when we were in the bar having a drink, Morgan Freeman came in. He is SO COOL. Even in a Coogi sweater. Tucked in.

That night People hosted a private party for all of their weekend guests at S Bar. Craig was able to secure an invite for our good friends Lisa and Des (who live in LA) to come with us. It was a cool party. Every year they have up and coming artists perform a 3-4 song acoustic set. This year it was this awesome guy from Detroit named Ty Stone. He's been touring with Kid Rock. He was GREAT.

Next up was Josh Kelley - better known as "husband of Katherine Heigl." lol He was good and SUPER cool. We talked to him a bit afterwards. Finally, a girl named Chrisette Michelle performed. She was up for a Grammy. She was really good, too.

After the party we went back to the hotel bar where again we saw Pink. I don't know why she was stalking me!!

On Sunday morning a limo picked me up at the hotel and took me to Prive Salon to have my hair and makeup done. It was so fun to get all glammed up. When I got back to the hotel I literally bumped into Usher. I think he might have checked me out! At 2:15 we met up for pics and champagne toasts beforing getting into our limo for the show.

We got there and for about 15 min had to stand around until our People reps managed to get us on the Talent Red Carpet. There are actually 2 red carpets - one for celebs and vips and one for everyone else. I seriously don't know how they managed to get us on the main carpet - but it was awesome. We followed Miley Cyrus the whole way. She was SO cute, SO sweet. Her dress was super cute, too.

Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) LITERALLY ran into me. Said excuse me and ran again. On the red carpet we also saw: Fantasia, Nelly Furtado, Andrea Boccelli, Tony Bennet was right next to me for awhile, but the best was that when Rhianna got there they rushed her right in. HOWEVER, one of the peeps with us is a bigwig at Cover Girl. Rhianna has a contract with CG. As soon as she saw this guy (who I was walking with), she stopped, kissed him and said 'hello' to all of us!

She is so amazingly beautiful. OMG!! Seriously, she takes your breath away.

We sat in a sky box for the show so we got food and drinks. It was so fun to see the show live! I loved Rhianna with The Time, totally cried when Kanye did "Hey Mama," thought of my friend Ellie when Beyonce and Tina Turner were performing "Proud Mary," loved Josh Grobin (don't think he's as much of a nerd now) and Andrea Bocelli perform and danced real hard to Jerry Lee Lewis! I adored Amy Winehouse. I thought she was amazing.

After the show we went to the Entertainment Weekly party at STK. It was honoring LA Reid, who is a big record producer (for those who don't know). We hung out in the main area for awhile. I saw Joel Madden and congratulated him on the new baby (mama Nicole Richie). I also saw Perez Hilton who was such a tool.

Then we got moved into the VIP section. OMG. I walked in immediately behind Kanye West. Incredible!! My boobs were totally squished on his back! Be still my heart. Seriously.

Sitting right behind me was Rhianna with Chris Brown. They are definitely an item. Chris was dancing all night long. Janet Jackson was also behind us with Jermaine Dupree and Serena Williams. Beyonce was there, Jay Z, Ashanti, Nelly, NeYo, Ludicris, Star Jones (wtf?), Pete Wentz, Nicole richie (tiny), and lots more I'm sure I'll remember later. Oh - and a haggard looking, but not messed up Owen Wilson was there, too. Kanye premeired his "Flashing Lights" video. I didn't get it, but it was pretty.

This was me, all dolled up right before we left for the Grammy's!

This is me and Lisa with Josh Kelley, who is married to Katherine Heigl. He was really good and very nice. We chatted for a few minutes!
Photobucket

This is back at the bar at The Four Seasons after the party. THIS is Ty Stone. He is from Detroit and he's working with Kid Rock. He's a really super nice and sweet and funny guy. We hung out with him and his tour manager and his best friend all night back at the bar! They even invited us to go clubbing with them! We decided we shouldn't go since we had such a big day on Sunday.
Photobucket

This is me and Lisa with Sam, Ty's tour manager. lol
Photobucket

And this is us with Ty's best friend. He is Jerry - he was on The Bachelorette! He was one of the guys Jen Scheft rejected at the end. Didn't she reject them both? Anyway, he was pretty hot (and knew it), but in a nice way.
Photobucket

We had a great time and I'm sure I'll have more to report once I have time to reflect on all of the wonderful craziness of the weekend!
